By Car
Directions:
From Eardisley direction
You will approach Presteigne on the B4355. At the roundabout take the second exit and keep on this road, past the recycling area on your left, past the turn off to Knighton on the right and carry straight on towards Discoed. in under a mile you will come across Rockbridge caravan park on your right and we are on the opposite side of the road. Our entrance is on the left.
From Newtown direction
From Newtown you will come via Knighton. When you get to Presteigne you will have the children's park on your left. Turn right towards Discoed. In under a mile you will come across Rockbridge caravan park on your right and we are on the opposite side of the road. Our entrance is on the left.
By Bus or train
If you are travelling by bus we are under a mile from the bus stop. The nearest train stations are Ludlow and Leominster. If you let us know a few weeks before we may be able to arrange to pick you up and take you to Wild Meadow.
Pre-arrival & the keys
Please let us know when you plan to arrive. We would love to be at Wild Meadow to welcome you but if we can't, or if you would like to leave your arrival time open, then we will let you know how to access the Shepherd's hut.
The Shepherd's Hut is about 2 minutes walk, uphill to the top of the field.
Please park in the allocated area at the bottom and walk up.
If you arrive after dark you will need to bring a torch!
Arrival & departure
The Shepherd's hut will be available after 4pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure.
We may be able to adjust these times to suit so feel free to ask if you have any special requests.
If you would like to explore the area on bikes, 4 are available to hire. We supply complimentary ingredients for one mornings cooked breakfast. If you would like us to provide further supplies let us know. Please see our website for current pricing and contact us as soon as possible before your stay to add these extras to your package.

Fully equipped outdoor kitchen containing: gas hob, fridge, scissors, tables, seats, crockery, cutlery, egg cups, cutting knives, serving spoons, pans, steamer, washing up liquid & bowls, t-towels, dishcloth, salt & pepper, tin & bottle opener, grater, potato peeler

OS maps of area, games, binoculars, torch
Gas shower
Electricity is provided by solar panels This powers lights and 12V sockets (cigarette lighter type - i.e NOT 240V domestic three pin plug).
Please let us know about any breakages, of if anything is missing or goes wrong during your stay. We will try and solve the problem quickly. Guests are requested to avoid smoking inside the Shepherd's hut.
Occupancy
We provide crockery and cutlery for six. Bedding, linen & towels are provided for two.
Children are most welcome to stay (no extra cost) and we can provide 2 self inflating mattresses.
Please bring pillows, duvets/sleeping bags for children.
Let us know if you would like extra guests to camp near to the hut (there may be an extra charge and only by pre-arrangement).
Information & advice
Please familiarise yourself with the Shepherd's hut, its surroundings and all safety instructions. Information & advice sheets and leaflets are supplied inside the hut. These contain information on: lighting the wood-burner, local services, places to eat and visit and local shops. They should tell you everything you will need to make your visit as enjoyable and trouble-free as possible.
